A rich dose of Christmas indulgence is delighting Woodstock this winter, as boutique hotel The Feathers partners with Hotel Chocolat for a full festive chocolate takeover this season.

The collaboration has transformed the award-winning property into a chocolate-themed haven, complete with velvetised hot chocolates, limited-edition cocktails, festive room gifts, and decadent desserts.

The Feathers, a four-star hotel and Michelin Key recipient, has been infused with the signature style and sensory appeal of Hotel Chocolat. From aromatic cacao-inspired décor to fireside treats and nostalgic winter ambience, the partnership aims to offer guests and locals an immersive festive escape.

Designed around craftsmanship, comfort and creativity, the collaboration brings a unique and multisensory celebration of Christmas to the heart of the Cotswolds.

At the hotel’s stylish bar, The Aviary, guests can explore a menu of chocolate cocktails and barista-grade drinking chocolates. Five Velvetised Drinking Chocolates – Classic 70%, Salted Caramel, Peppermint White, Mince Pie, and Mandarin & Orange (cold) – will be available, each prepared using Hotel Chocolat’s ALL-NEW Velvetiser®.

Served with a Hotel Chocolat Baton, the drinks can be enjoyed by the fire or taken on a winter stroll around Woodstock. Prices start from £5.50, with the option to “make it tipsy” for £8.50 by adding Velvetised Cream.

The bar will also serve Velvetised Cream over Ice, featuring flavours such as Chocolate, Espresso Martini and Salted Caramel, each blended with vodka and cream for an ultra-smooth finish. For an elevated seasonal pick-me-up, the Velvet Espresso Martini blends Velvetised Cream Espresso Martini with Salted Caramel Cacao Vodka Liqueur and double espresso.

At the hotel’s fine dining restaurant The Nest, Head Chef Luke Rawicki has created a standout dessert for the season: the Hotel Chocolat Tart, made with 70% Hotel Chocolat chocolate, salted caramel and a fragrant lime leaf ice cream.

Complementing the restaurant’s Michelin-recommended modern European menu, the dessert captures the richness and elegance of the collaboration.

Guests checking in for the festive season will find cacao-inspired decorations, Hotel Chocolat Penguin Chocolate Selectors in every room, and bespoke gifts on Christmas morning – including Classic Christmas Sleeksters for adults and Santa Tiddly Pots for children. Christmas Lunch will feature Hotel Chocolat crackers at every table.

The Feathers’ two-night Christmas stay package (24 to 26 December) includes breakfast each morning and full access to the hotel’s festive experience, with rates from £250 per night.
