About The Crazy Bear Stadhampton
The original Crazy Bear has been entertaining guests since its creation in 1993. Situated just 15 minutes’ drive from Oxford’s historic city centre, Crazy Bear Stadhampton is a boutique hotel with a countryside setting. A double decker bus features as the hotel’s reception. The hotel offers a choice of 23 individually designed bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, as well as private cottages for up to ten guests.
Eat
The English restaurant is open every day from midday to 10.00pm. The Thai restaurant is open for dinner every day from 5.30pm to 10.00pm and for lunch Monday to Saturday from midday to 3.00pm (from 4.00pm on Sundays). All the meats are butchered at The Crazy Bear Farm Shop, including Gloucestershire Old Spot Pork and Welsh Badger Face Lamb reared at The Crazy Bear Farm. Both the English and Thai restaurants have maintained two AA rosettes every year since opening.
Drink
At the heart of the hotel is a sixteenth-century public house, bravely re-designed to combine historic architecture and eccentric extras. The bar is open every day from midday to midnight. In addition to beers on tap, premium spirits and a wine list, the bar serves cocktails, small plates and sandwiches.
Relax
The Crazy Bear Thai therapists each have over ten years of experience in Thai massage. Traditionally performed on the floor fully clothed, they offer a relaxing adaptation of traditional Thai massage using a massage bed and heated oils. The Thai massage is deep and thorough with some acupressure and stretching – complete bliss!
