We’re getting close to a decision on this year’s winner!
The longlist of 25 talented authors has now been reduced to just 4 that make up the 2021 Mogford Prize shortlist.
The judges, Lemn Sissay MBE, English author and broadcaster, and Mick Herron, British mystery and thriller novelist, are considering the 2021 Mogford Prize shortlist of four and putting them into their order of preference.
A particularly difficult task this year, given the exceptionally high quality of the entries.
The 2021 prize shortlist, in alphabetical order, is:
- Lorna Fergusson with ‘Mrs Esslemont’s Tea‘
- Finlay Taylor with ‘Madame Blini’s Disdain‘
- Emma Teichmann with ‘An Acquired Taste‘
- Jessica Sinyard with ‘Black Coffee‘
The winner of the 2021 Mogford Prize will be announced in April 2021.
The winning story, along with the three runner-up stories, will then be published on this Mogford Prize website shortly afterwards.
