A charity quiz night in Botley is set to support an ambitious project aiming to raise £100,000 for a dozen Oxfordshire charities. Mental health and housing charity Response has partnered with Oxfordshire Youth to host the fundraising event at Tap Social’s Taproom on 09 December.
The quiz night will contribute to Raise25, a collaborative initiative that brings together leading Oxfordshire businesses and local charities. Now in its second year, the programme raised £36,100 in 2024, with organisers aiming for nearly triple that amount this time.
The evening promises a lively atmosphere, with six quiz rounds designed for all abilities—from casual players to trivia experts. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams, and attendees will have the chance to meet representatives from the charities benefitting from Raise25’s efforts.
Individual and team tickets are available, and thanks to a match-funding opportunity, every ticket purchased will deliver double the financial impact.

Emma Murphy, Associate Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications at Response, said: “We’re on countdown now to what will be a fun night of quizzing at Tap Social, helping various charities to provide vital services across mental health, youth support, housing, education, community projects and more.
“Events like these are a great way for local businesses and charities to connect and form strong relationships. And for those simply wanting to enjoy a good quiz, we’ve got an exciting evening lined up with a range of food and refreshment options available. Tap Social makes an excellent host, and I’d like to thank them for providing us with their Taproom space for the night.”
Twelve charities will benefit from the fundraiser: Be Free Young Carers, Connection Support, Homeless Oxfordshire, The Hoops Foundation, The Joey Beauchamp Foundation, Oxfordshire Community Foundation, Oxfordshire Youth, Plunkett UK, Response, Sobell House Hospice, The Story Museum and Survivor Space Oxfordshire.
Raise25 is produced by B4, a membership community of more than 200 businesses and 500 individuals who collaborate through live and online events. Organisers hope that this year’s target of £100,000 will provide a much-needed boost for charities working across mental health, youth support, homelessness, community engagement and education.
