Dishoom has announced that Permit Room Oxford will be opening its doors on Friday, 25 October.

Situated on New Inn Hall Street, one of Oxford’s most historic locations, this all-day bar-café brings the charm of Bombay’s iconic permit rooms to the city, with local collaborations and music to set the perfect backdrop.

Following recent launches in Brighton and Cambridge, the Oxford location promises a lively atmosphere with its signature Permit Room cocktails and all-day food offerings.

From drinking snacks and flavourful curries to beloved Dishoom favourites, as well as breakfast Naan Rolls and restorative House Chai for the morning after.

Brunch, lunch, dinner, late – the menu is made to be washed down with cold beers and crackingly-good cocktails. Both expertly crafted. While on the decks, local DJs will fill the air with rootsy beats and neighbourhood revelry.

In celebration of the opening, guests can enjoy 50% off food during the soft launch period – from Saturday, 19 October to Thursday, 24 October – before the official opening on Friday, 25 October.

Permit Room Oxford will primarily operate on a walk-in basis – but some tables are kept for reservations. For big parties, it’s best to book in advance (you might be spread across some close-together tables in one happy-go-lucky section).

Swing by for a quick drink, light bite, or long, leisurely night – Permit Room Oxford is open to all.
