Nai’s House, the Oxfordshire youth mental health and suicide prevention charity founded in memory of Dené “Nai” Dorling Barrett, has launched a new initiative aimed at uniting businesses behind early intervention and emotional wellbeing.
Known as the Nai’s House 1% Club, the movement invites organisations to pledge 1% of annual turnover—or contribute through payroll giving—to help safeguard the mental health of young people in crisis.
The scheme is built on the belief that prevention is the most powerful tool in reducing future mental health emergencies. By joining, businesses not only support essential services for vulnerable young people, but also demonstrate a meaningful commitment to corporate social responsibility.
“Nai’s House exists to make sure no young person feels unheard or unsupported. The 1% Club allows businesses to join us in building a future where prevention and early intervention save lives,” said Founder Gem Barrett.
Nai’s House was created in honour of Dené “Nai” Dorling Barrett, whose passion for helping others has shaped the organisation’s mission. The charity provides non-clinical, flexible mental health and suicide prevention support for young people and their families, offering a warm, informal environment where individuals feel seen, valued, and understood.
Alongside direct support for children and young adults, Nai’s House also assists parents, carers, and those affected by suicide bereavement.
Members of the 1% Club receive a suite of benefits, including:
- Direct support for suicide awareness and prevention education
- A clear expression of corporate social responsibility
- A 20% discount on suicide prevention training
- A bespoke digital badge for websites and internal communications
- Quarterly newsletters with updates, stories and resources
- A welcome letter from the CEO
- An annual impact report highlighting the difference their contribution makes
As the initiative grows, further benefits will be added to strengthen engagement and recognition for supporting organisations.
Businesses can register interest via the provided QR code or sign up online to receive a step-by-step guide to setting up contributions. After committing their 1% (or payroll giving), members receive a digital badge and welcome pack, followed by regular impact updates.

By joining the 1% Club, businesses play an active role in ensuring young people receive compassionate, consistent support when they need it most.
