Kaleidex Group has confirmed a strategic investment to support the relocation and expansion of OxDevice Medical into a new purpose-designed facility at Abingdon Science Park.
The move will see OxDevice consolidate its operations from three separate buildings into a single site at Monarch House, creating additional capacity and a platform for future growth.
The relocation forms part of Kaleidex’s wider strategy to strengthen its group businesses through infrastructure-led expansion while maintaining operational continuity for customers.
Refurbishment work began in early 2026, with office teams and research and development capabilities transferring first. This will be followed by completion of new cleanroom and specialist laboratory facilities. Validation processes will be carried out before full production resumes at the new site.
Gavin Meadows, Chief Executive Officer of Kaleidex, said:
“This investment demonstrates our commitment to backing the long-term growth of OxDevice. Bringing teams and capabilities together into a single, modern facility strengthens operational resilience today while creating the foundations for future capability expansion. It is a considered, practical step in our broader ambition to build factories of the future across the Kaleidex Group.”

The upgraded facility will provide increased space, improved workflows and enhanced infrastructure to support higher volumes and evolving technical requirements.
Capabilities will include cleanroom manufacturing with microscopic assembly, dedicated packaging space, nitinol wire forming, shape setting, braiding, laser cutting and electropolishing, as well as elastomeric and lubricious coatings for neuro and vascular devices, including silicone.
A new laboratory and expanded R&D space will support product design and development engineering.
Praveen Sagar, Technical Director at OxDevice Medical, added:
“Consolidating into one site gives us greater control over our processes and environment. The new cleanrooms and laboratories will support both current programmes and the development of new capabilities, while allowing us to operate more efficiently as demand grows.”
OxDevice Medical, based in Abingdon, provides precision engineering and manufacturing services for medical devices, including endovascular and neurovascular interventions, medical sensors, electronics and specialist coating services. The relocation reinforces Kaleidex’s focus on targeted investment and sustainable growth across its portfolio.
