Riverside Park outdoor pool, splash pad and campsite in Wallingford is preparing to open to residents, ahead of the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
The popular facility will be open for the entire season this year, with the campsite opening on Friday, 27 May and the pool and splash pad ready for visitors for the duration of the summer from Saturday, 28 May.
South Oxfordshire District Council and its leisure contractor GLL, who manage the Better UK leisure on behalf of the council, are now getting the pool and campsite areas summer ready.
The pool will need a few weeks before opening to prepare so that the water is the right temperature for swimmers and families to enjoy.

Councillor Maggie Filipova-Rivers, Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing at the council, said: “I’m so pleased we’re able to open for the full season this year.
“We know how popular the pool and campsite are, and the site brings so many people into the town that it’s great for the local economy too.
“We’ve prioritised funding for leisure in our budget to enable the pool and campsite to open each year as supporting health and wellbeing and the local economy are priorities for us.”
The pool and splash pad will be open from 7.00am to 6.00pm on Monday to Friday and from 9.00am to 5.00pm at the weekend.
The Better UK team working on site will monitor the weather, as they did last year, and on the hotter days the opening hours will be extended.
The pool and splash pad will be open until Saturday 04 September, and the campsite will close on the 30 September.
