The Alchemist is bringing its renowned sense of spectacle to Oxford this December, unveiling a Christmas menu filled with bold flavours, playful nostalgia, and plenty of theatrical flair.

Launched on 17 November, the new seasonal offering invites guests to indulge in a series of inventive cocktails and a festive three-course set menu priced at £40 – with the option to add two specially crafted Christmas cocktails for an additional £25.

This year’s drinks lineup leans into classic Christmas treats, reimagined through The Alchemist’s signature approach to mixology.

Among the highlights is The Trifle, a multi-layered cocktail built around Ketel One Vodka, Sarti Sicilian Blood Orange Aperitif, and tangerine jelly, finished with a creamy Advocaat foam that mirrors the top of the classic dessert.

Guests can also try The Last Bounty, a playful nod to one of the nation’s most divisive chocolates. This rich, indulgent serve combines Mozart Coconut Liqueur, Bacardi Coconut, Briottet Cacao Dark, coconut cream, and a decadent white chocolate foam.

Meanwhile, the bar’s iconic cosmic oysters return with a festive twist as Not Terry’s Chocolate Oyster, capturing the unmistakable chocolate-orange notes of a beloved seasonal favourite.

Alongside its creative cocktail menu, The Alchemist is also offering a hearty three-course festive dining experience designed to celebrate comforting Christmas flavours with a contemporary twist.

The standout Turkey in a Basket features crispy Old Bay-seasoned buttermilk fried turkey served with pork and apple stuffing, festive fries, cranberry slaw, and aromatic jus – a playful reimagining of classic seasonal ingredients.

For those seeking something richer, the Loaded Festive Burger brings together a smashed beef patty, melted cheese, a pork and apple patty, bacon jam, truffle mayo, and onion rings. The dish comes paired with glazed pigs in blankets, fries, and a pot of dipping gravy, offering a feast designed for maximum indulgence.

With its blend of theatrical mixology and inventive comfort food, The Alchemist’s Christmas menu aims to deliver a memorable and celebratory experience – one that brings a touch of creativity, warmth, and festive cheer to Oxford this December.
