The winner of ITV’s The Voice UK 2022, Anthonia Edwards, will be joining the legendary Grammy Award-winning vocalist Billy Ocean on his 2023 UK tour as a very special guest.

After seeing Anthonia perform on ITV primetime show The Voice and hearing her cover of Love Really Hurts Without You, Billy insisted Anthonia should join him on the road where he will perform his greatest hits.

Kicking off at the Stoke Regent on Friday, 17 March, the tour will travel to 21 towns and cities across the UK throughout March and April, with the final show set to take place at the Blackpool Opera House on Saturday, 29 April.

Anthonia will perform at some of the country’s most stunning theatres and concert halls, including New Theatre Oxford on Monday, 20 March, and the iconic London Palladium on Monday, 17 April.

Anthonia Edwards said: “I’m so excited to be going on my first ever tour, and it’s an absolute honour for it to be with a legend like Billy Ocean.

“I’ve grown up with his music and actually released a cover of Love Really Hurts Without You last year, so this is all a bit surreal! I can’t wait to get out and perform in front of his amazing fans across the UK.”

Billy Ocean said: “When I saw Anthonia’s performances on The Voice, and then her version of Love Really Hurts, I knew she would be the perfect opening artist for the UK tour.”

Anthonia Edwards is a 25-year-old qualified nurse from Blackheath, London. She was coached to victory on last year’s series of ITV’s The Voice UK by Sir Tom Jones, beating four other finalists to take the coveted crown.

She has since signed a prestigious recording contract with major record label EMI and released her debut single, Anyone – a reimagined version of the hit single by Justin Bieber, with new music planned for release later this year.
