Families in Oxfordshire are in for a festive treat this December as Tom Fletcher’s There’s a Monster in Your Christmas Show brings its heartwarming blend of music, mischief and Christmas cheer to Bicester Leisure Centre. The production runs from 23 to 29 December, promising a magical winter adventure for young audiences.

The show is a seasonal spin on Fletcher’s beloved Who’s in Your Book? children’s book series, which has captured the imaginations of families around the world. Following its critically acclaimed stage debut in 2023, the production has delighted nearly 100,000 youngsters and their families on tour. Mother & Baby Magazine hailed it as “the perfect toddler theatre show.”

This special festive edition of There’s a Monster in Your Show features a brand-new Christmas song, co-written by Tom Fletcher and Barrie Bignold, along with a special guest appearance from Elf. The 60-minute interactive musical adventure is packed with laughter, music, and moments for little ones to join in the fun.

Fletcher said:

“I love all things Christmas, so it’s extra special to be creating this show for families to enjoy together over the winter holidays! It’s been amazing to see There’s a Monster In Your Book come to life on stage, and to combine my love of storytelling and songwriting for this festive version.”

Audiences can expect plenty of festive chaos as the performers prepare for their Christmas show — only to discover that Little Monster wants to join in the fun too. Soon, he invites his friends Dragon, Alien, and Unicorn to help create a truly magical performance, learning about the joy of books, friendship, and teamwork along the way.

Fletcher added:

“This is the perfect first theatre trip for young families. It’s totally interactive — children are encouraged to shout, sing, clap, and dance, making it fun and stress-free for everyone!”

The Evening Standard praised the production as “fun and highly inclusive for the whole family.”

Tickets and more information are available on Monster in Your Show’s website or via The Mill Arts Centre.
