Tap Social Movement, the multi award-winning Oxford social enterprise brewery and bakery, has announced Day Release, a brand-new venue set to open in early 2026 at Signal Yard in Milton Park.
The launch marks Tap Social’s fifth Oxfordshire community venue – and its first to unite all Tap Social brands under one roof. Day Release will combine the company’s signature blend of independent beer, fresh pastries, creativity and community spirit in one of the region’s most exciting new destinations.

“Day Release will deliver a space where people can relax, connect and enjoy great food and drink with purpose, all while experiencing the creativity and inclusivity that defines Tap Social.”
Founded in 2016 by Amy Taylor, her sister Tess Taylor, and Paul Humpherson, Tap Social was born from a shared love of craft beer and social change.
The enterprise provides training and employment for people moving through the criminal justice system, creating more than 100,000 hours of fairly paid work for prison leavers and people on Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) – a number expected to grow with the launch of Day Release.
The new venue will serve Tap Social’s full range of “Criminally Good Beer,” alongside artisan coffee, sourdough and pastries from Proof Social Bakehouse. A diverse all-day menu will feature both hearty favourites and healthy, affordable options.
Guests can look forward to live music, comedy nights, art workshops and family-friendly raves, while a 20-litre brewing kit will power Tap Social’s new Brew School – ideal for corporate team building, birthdays and homebrewing enthusiasts.
Ahead of the launch, Tap Social’s Proof Pizza van will visit Milton Park weekly from 11 November, offering a preview of what’s to come.
