The routes for Oxfordshire’s much-loved Christmas Light Bus have been confirmed after 1,659 people took part in a public vote.
The open-top City Sightseeing Oxford bus, decorated with hundreds of twinkling lights, will tour the county between 4.00pm and 8.00pm on 12, 13, 19 and 20 December.
The first festive journey will see the bus travel through Kennington, Abingdon, Drayton, Sutton Courtenay, Milton and Didcot, before moving on to Harwell, Wantage, Frilford, Cumnor and finishing at Elms Parade in Botley.

On Saturday, the route begins in Blackbird Leys and continues through Nuneham Courtenay, Berinsfield, Benson and Wallingford. The bus will stay in Wallingford for around ten minutes before visiting Henley-on-Thames, Watlington, Chalgrove, Thame, Wheatley and Garsington.
The 19 December tour will pass through Oxford city centre, Wolvercote, Kidlington, Woodstock, Witney and Southmoor, while the final night on 20 December includes visits to Oxford’s hospitals, Wood Farm, Rose Hill, Littlemore and Blackbird Leys.

Luke Marion, Managing Director at City Sightseeing Oxford, said:
“After being overwhelmed with votes, we’ve been able to curate four timetables for our popular Christmas Light Bus. We’ll be visiting a range of locations across the county and we’re looking forward to seeing as many people as possible turn out for this free event.”
The bus will be accompanied by Christmas music from Get Radio, and volunteers from Oxford Bus Group will hand out festive treats — including vegan and gluten-free options — at various stops.
Although the public cannot board or travel on the bus, people are encouraged to share photos and videos on social media using #OxfordXmasBus.
