A former Britain’s Got Talent golden buzzer semi-finalist will perform a special live show in Oxfordshire this Mother’s Day.

Lifford Shillingford will bring a soulful live performance to Crazy Bear Stadhampton on Sunday as part of a unique Mother’s Day dining experience.

The singer, who received the golden buzzer from Alesha Dixon during the 2018 series of Britain’s Got Talent, has enjoyed a career spanning more than three decades. His appearance on the programme attracted a television audience of around eight million viewers.

Across his career, Shillingford has performed alongside legendary artists including Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Craig David.

The Mother’s Day event at the Crazy Bear will combine live soul and jazz music with a specially curated three-course lunch.

Guy Leighton-Rees, Events Manager at the Crazy Bear Stadhampton, said tickets are already proving popular.

“Tickets are selling fast for what promises to be an unforgettable afternoon on Sunday.

“Whether you’re gathering as a family or planning a special surprise for the most important woman in your life, our Mother’s Day experience is designed to make her feel truly appreciated.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming back the supremely talented Lifford Shillingford, who we’re sure will entertain and enthrall in equal measure.”

The Mother’s Day menu will feature a range of seasonal dishes. Starters include home-cured trout with crème fraîche and rye or charred asparagus served with Jersey Royals and sauce gribiche.

Guests can then choose from a selection of roast mains served with duck fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, honey-roasted carrots, seasonal greens and rich gravy. Options include roast lamb saddle, roast half chicken, dry-aged striploin of beef, pan-roasted sea bass or roast celeriac.

Desserts include strawberry trifle with vanilla custard and Chantilly cream, chocolate delice with smoked vanilla ice cream and sticky toffee pudding served with salted caramel ice cream. A local cheese selection is also available for an additional £5.

Tickets for the event cost £45 for adults, which includes a glass of Champagne, while children’s tickets are priced at £35.

The Crazy Bear Stadhampton recently introduced several new midweek dining events. These include a Tuesday steak night at its Oak restaurant, where guests can enjoy striploin steak with triple-cooked chips and a glass of wine for £27, as well as Champagne Wednesday, offering 50 per cent off all bottles of Champagne.

The luxury venue also features several dining spaces, including a classic English restaurant, the newly refurbished Hom Thai restaurant, an outdoor terrace and a traditional countryside pub.
