City Sightseeing Oxford has partnered with leading museums across the city to relaunch its Bunny Hop Trail during the Easter school holidays, offering families an interactive activity linked to Oxford’s visitor attractions.
Running from 28 March to 12 April, the trail invites children travelling on the open-top sightseeing buses to search for six hidden bunnies placed across participating venues in the city.
This year’s trail is being delivered in partnership with Ashmolean Museum, The Story Museum and Modern Art Oxford. Participants collect stamps on a Bunny Hop Trail card and can claim an Easter-themed reward once all six stamps have been completed.
Rewards can be collected from City Sightseeing Oxford’s visitor information point on High Street or from the travel shop at Gloucester Green.
The trail coincides with an increase in tour frequency from 28 March as the sightseeing operator, owned by Oxford Bus Company, prepares for the busier spring and summer tourism season.
Kamini Patel said the activity had proved highly popular with families.
“We are excited to be bringing the Bunny Hop Trail back to Oxford from 28th March.
“The trail was a huge success last year, so we are pleased to bring this family activity back to the city and look forward to welcoming everyone for a fun couple of weeks of spotting bunnies at partnering attractions across Oxford.”
Families taking part can also receive 10 per cent off purchases at The Story Museum café by presenting a valid trail card or map.
Conrad Bodman said the museum was pleased to continue the collaboration, while Ania Bas said families visiting the Ashmolean would also be able to join a free bunny hunt to spot rabbits and hares within the museum’s collections.
Paul Hobson added that the partnership offered seasonal family fun across the city.
The Bunny Hop Trail is free to anyone boarding a City Sightseeing Oxford bus tour, although parental supervision is required throughout because the activity is self-led.
