A soothing blend of live jazz and indulgent Sunday roasts is coming to the Crazy Bear in Stadhampton, as the iconic hotel and restaurant launches its new monthly event, Sunday Jazz in the Glasshouse. Designed for diners who love great food with a soulful soundtrack, the experience pairs a decadent three-course roast with live performances from jazz band Sepha.

The first event takes place on Sunday 09 November, with dates running every second Sunday of the month through to 10 May. The Glasshouse, known for its relaxed and stylish setting, sets the scene for an afternoon of slow dining and warm, easygoing music.

London-based vocalist Rosie fronts Sepha, bringing polished jazz vocals honed through performances alongside artists including Camila Cabello, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Jess Glynne. Her smooth, contemporary take on jazz classics complements the leisurely pace of a Sunday roast perfectly, creating an atmosphere designed for unwinding with family and friends.

Florentina Ionita, Event Sales Coordinator at Crazy Bear, said: “Sundays are for slowing down and taking things easy, which makes our Sunday Jazz in the Glasshouse the perfect opportunity to indulge the senses.

With locally sourced meats from trusted farms, perfectly roasted vegetables from local growers, and homemade Yorkshire puddings with all the traditional trimmings on your plate, relax and savour the smooth and soulful sounds of Sepha.”

The menu opens with a choice of elegant starters, including ham hock terrine, Armagnac home-cured salmon, wild mushroom arancini and fire-roasted courgette.

The centrepiece is the traditional roast, with options such as roasted dry-aged striploin of beef, slow-roast pork belly and slow-cooked half chicken, all served with classic sides: roast potatoes, carrots, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and rich gravy. Non-meat diners can choose from Jerusalem artichoke gnocchi or pan-seared seabass fillet.

Desserts continue the indulgence with Earl Grey and chestnut burnt cheesecake, vanilla crème brûlée, sticky toffee pudding or a refreshing selection of sorbets. Guests can round off the afternoon with a curated selection of teas or freshly ground coffee.

Live jazz runs from 12.00pm to 5.00pm, and dining prices are set at £39.95 per adult and £34.95 for children under 12.

The Crazy Bear has also been expanding its culinary offering this year with the opening of its new restaurant, Oak, and the ongoing refurbishment of its Thai restaurant, which continues to serve traditional Thai favourites.
