Crazy Bear is set to celebrate Burns Night with a Scottish-inspired dining experience at its Stadhampton venue, combining traditional cuisine, live bagpipes and the unmistakable warmth of Highland hospitality.
Taking place on Sunday 25 January, the themed lunch honours Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns with a specially curated three-course menu designed to showcase classic Scottish flavours alongside Crazy Bear’s contemporary approach to gastronomy.
Guests are encouraged to book early, as spaces are expected to fill quickly for the popular annual celebration.
The menu begins with a choice of starters, including Cullen Skink – a traditional Scottish chowder made with smoked haddock, potato and leek – or a comforting roasted root vegetable soup. Each dish has been crafted to reflect the richness and simplicity of Scotland’s culinary heritage while appealing to a modern palate.
For the main course, diners can enjoy Scottish haggis served with mashed potatoes and buttered swede, finished with a whisky and cracked black pepper sauce. A vegetarian alternative will also be available, while fish lovers can opt for roasted Scottish salmon accompanied by seasonal greens.
Dessert continues the celebration with classic Scottish favourites, including Cranachan, made with whipped cream, toasted oats, honey and raspberries, or a traditional clootie dumpling served with warm custard. To complement the meal, Crazy Bear will offer its extensive selection of malt whiskies for guests wishing to pair their dishes with a dram or two.

Adding to the atmosphere, live bagpipes will accompany the service, creating a rousing and authentic backdrop for the occasion. While Crazy Bear is known for its signature glamorous dress code, guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the event, with kilts and tartan warmly welcomed.
Kyle Parsons, Restaurant Manager at Crazy Bear, said: “We are looking forward to hosting this special event bringing a contemporary Crazy Bear interpretation to a cherished tradition.
“The menu is simply stunning and the bagpipes will create a memorable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. While we normally advocate a glitzy and glamourous dress code, kilts and tartan are welcome!
“Guests can relax, raise a glass, hear the pipes and toast to Scotland’s most celebrated poet in true Crazy Bear style.”
Burns Night is celebrated annually on 25 January, marking the birthday of Robert Burns, born in 1759.
A pioneer of Romanticism, Burns played a crucial role in championing Scottish culture, language and folk tradition. His poetry continues to influence art, music and politics worldwide, with the first Burns supper held in 1801 by friends wishing to commemorate his legacy.
The Crazy Bear Burns Night service will run from 12.00pm to 2.30pm, with tickets priced at £39.95 per person.
