With the school holidays underway, parents looking to treat their children to a meal out during the summer can head to Marco Pierre White’s restaurant at the Leonardo Royal Hotel on Godstow Road, where kids can eat for free.
Available at Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill, anyone who fancies tucking into a meal that’s been devised by the gastronomic great will be able to do so without worrying about the cost of their child’s meal*.
This a continuation of similar offers earlier in the year, with food and energy bills rising and the school summer holidays being a time of year when household budgets are squeezed further with parents looking to keep their children fed and entertained, having a free meal while going out helps both ways.
Kiran Saini, restaurant manager, said: “We’ve run similar offers in the past and are always popular. For mums and dads, the chance to let someone else do the cooking as well as the clearing and washing up will be quite appealing, while kids just love being taken out for a meal in a restaurant.
“It’s also a great way for children to learn how to behave in an environment where there are other people enjoying a meal out and is great for developing social skills, especially when they are asked what they’d like to eat and drink by the waiting staff.
“Marco’s philosophy on eating out is about simple, authentic food served in a great environment with a relaxed atmosphere. We serve classic, recognisable dishes that sit perfectly with his ethos of casual, authentic and affordable dining.
