The boutique hotel has appointed Isabela Dumbrava to design and implement new creative strategies for the hotel, overseeing all marketing and help put the venue on the map as a go-to destination in Oxfordshire.

Isabela joins the team with nine years of industry experience and a strong track record in sales and event management roles. Before taking on the position of Director of Sales, Isabela worked for some of the largest hotel groups, including Accor, IHG and Compass Group.

In her new role, Isabela will work alongside the established sales team to oversee new business and boost meetings, conference and event bookings for the Iffley-based hotel.

“I am really pleased to have joined the Hawkwell House team,” said Isabela. “It’s a stunning, versatile venue, and I’m looking forward to showcasing everything it has to offer.

“The opportunity to work for the global hotel chain Accor, coupled with the unique charm and recent transformations at Hawkwell House, presented an ideal combination that aligned perfectly with my professional aspirations.

“The appointment of an exceptional new head chef has elevated the culinary experience and the warm welcome and professionalism of the team reinforced my confidence in the positive work culture at Hawkwell House. Plus, the recent £3.5 million refurbishment added an extra layer of excitement.”

Through her passion for business development, Isabela hopes to transform the hotel’s MICE offerings and redefine Hawkwell House as one of the premiere destinations in Oxford to host events.
