The Feathers, a luxurious boutique hotel in the historic market town of Woodstock, is embracing the festive season with a full programme of limited-edition menus and a New Year’s Eve celebration designed to showcase the very best of modern countryside hospitality.
Sitting on the edge of the Cotswolds and holding a prestigious Michelin Key, the four-star hotel is offering guests the chance to enjoy a quintessentially cosy Christmas experience with three carefully curated festive menus.
Running from 01 December to 04 January, the Festive Feast Menu invites diners to enjoy three courses for £70 per person. The menu begins with Mark’s Sourdough served with roasted onion butter, followed by a choice of Shitake Mushroom Tart with Godminster cheese and sage or Crab Ravioli with bisque grenobloise, caviar and brandy.
For the main course, guests can choose between Roast Norfolk Turkey with all the trimmings, Salmon Wellington with spinach and nutmeg, or Roasted Hispi Cabbage served with Guinness onions, toasted yeast and merlot vinegar.

Dessert options include Christmas Pudding with vanilla ice cream and brandy sauce or a 72% Chocolate Delice accompanied by clementine and hazelnut.
On Christmas Day itself, The Feathers will be serving a four-course feast between 12.00pm and 3.00pm, priced at £168 per person. Bread and snacks begin the meal, followed by Shitake Mushroom Tart with Godminster cheese and sage, and Pan Roasted Halibut with bisque grenobloise, caviar and brandy.
Guests then enjoy Roast Norfolk Turkey with classic seasonal accompaniments such as pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and vegetables. To finish, diners can choose between Christmas Pudding with brandy anglaise and Madagascan vanilla, or Whipped Chocolate Mille Feuille with candied orange and stem ginger.
All festive menus are available in the hotel’s two distinctive dining spaces: The Nest, an upscale modern European restaurant, and The Aviary, a relaxed bar and terrace.
To welcome 2026, The Feathers will host a New Year’s Eve party in The Aviary. Tickets are priced at £75 per person and include a glass of champagne on arrival, another at midnight, late-night snacks, and an evening of live music and a DJ.
Blending period architecture with contemporary comfort, The Feathers offers guests a tranquil and indulgent retreat just moments from the iconic Blenheim Palace. Its central Woodstock location also provides easy access to independent shops, eateries and local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds.
