As the heatwave continues, Zizzi restaurant is inviting locals to cool down in the sweetest way possible — with free ice cream sundaes.
Throughout August, every time the local temperature reaches 29°C, the Zizzi Oxford and Zizzi Henley-on-Thames restaurants will give away 29 sundaes, part of a nationwide offer totalling over 4,000 free frozen treats.
To claim one, diners simply need to show staff that their current location is 29°C or hotter on their phone’s weather app. Then, it’s time to choose from three indulgent options.
The Caramello Sundae combines salted caramel gelato and vanilla gelato with freshly whipped cream, topped with a honeycomb cheesecake slice, caramel sauce, caramel crunch and a stroopwafel.
The Dragon Fruit & Wild Strawberry Sundae features dragon fruit sorbet with panna cotta and wild strawberry gelato, crowned with pink meringue, whipped cream and strawberry coulis.

“We want to help as many people as possible beat the heat with one of our delicious sundaes. Get them while it’s hot!”
The Caramello and Dragon Fruit & Wild Strawberry sundaes are part of Zizzi’s limited edition summer specials, available to order à la carte or as part of the Summer Set Menu. The three-course menu, priced from £27.50, offers a budget-friendly way to enjoy seasonal dining with friends and family.
