Join Oxford University’s Community History Hub on 14 November for a seminar exploring The Car-Makers of Cowley project. Local historian Maurice East and Prof Rob Iliffe will discuss the rise of the Morris and Pressed Steel factories, the industrial action of the 1960s–80s, and how the car industry reshaped Oxford. Attendees are invited to share stories for a new digital archive documenting this vital part of local history.
