Gardner Leader strengthens employment team with two senior appointments

Leading regional law firm Gardner Leader has expanded its employment team with the appointment of Partner Michelle Morgan and Senior Associate Catherine Morris.

Michelle Morgan returns to the firm after roles at Shoosmiths and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP). With more than 20 years’ experience in employment law across UK and international markets, she is consistently recognised as a Recommended and Key Lawyer in the The Legal 500 guide.

A trusted adviser to HR leaders and senior executives, Michelle supports clients ranging from large corporates to regional businesses on complex employment matters linked to corporate transactions and senior-level appointments and exits.

Her expertise spans M&As, MBOs and joint ventures, restructuring and redundancies, data protection, outsourcing and insourcing agreements, and restrictive covenants.

Catherine Morris joins from national firm Knights, where she spent eight years with the practice and its predecessor firms. She specialises in employment litigation and dispute resolution, advising clients through tribunal proceedings and civil court claims, including complex contractual and injunctive matters.

Catherine also brings significant experience in the franchising sector, offering guidance on employment status, processes, policies and procedures, and TUPE issues within franchise networks.
