Guests visiting Crazy Bear can now enjoy beers from Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brewery, with the brand’s premium lager and IPA available on draught.

The introduction of Hawkstone beverages marks a new partnership between the Oxfordshire venue and one of the UK’s fastest-growing beer brands. Launched in 2021, Hawkstone has rapidly expanded its presence and is now stocked in more than 1,000 pubs nationwide.

At the Crazy Bear, both Hawkstone Premium Lager and Hawkstone IPA are being served, offering guests a taste of the Cotswolds-based brewery’s range. The collaboration reflects a shared emphasis on quality and British-sourced ingredients.

Andy Cross, Sales Director at Hawkstone, said:

“Hawkstone is built on championing the very best of British farming, so it’s great to see the beers being poured at the Crazy Bear. It’s a venue that really cares about quality, which makes it a great fit for the brand.”

The venue’s management also welcomed the partnership. Rob Puffett, General Manager at the Crazy Bear, said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with Hawkstone and introducing their range to our countryside pub. Hawkstone’s focus on British ingredients, craft, quality and a sense of humour makes it a natural fit for the Crazy Bear.”

Hawkstone’s credentials have been strengthened by recent industry recognition. Its IPA won gold at the 2025 World Beer Awards, where it was also named England’s overall winner. The beer combines carefully selected hops with tropical and citrus notes, balanced by a rich malt profile.

Meanwhile, the brewery’s original Premium Lager has also achieved award-winning status, taking gold at the World Beer Awards in 2024. The lager is noted for its light citrus top notes and balanced malty character.

The Hawkstone brand takes its name from a Neolithic stone located near Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds, reflecting its rural roots and connection to British agriculture.

Speaking on the creation of his Hawkstone Brewery, Mr Clarkson said:

“They say that God took six days to create the world.

“The thing is it takes 30 days to create my Hawkstone lager, which means my lager is six times better than the world.”

The Crazy Bear, known for its luxury accommodation and diverse dining options, continues to expand its offering, with Hawkstone beers now forming part of its countryside pub experience.
