Migrate UK, a specialist immigration law firm, has relocated to Harwell, Oxfordshire, to support the UK’s growing demand for highly skilled talent across science, technology and life sciences.

The 12-strong team has joined the Harwell Innovation Centre, part of the UK’s leading science and innovation campus.

With over 200 organisations on site, Harwell brings together pioneering businesses and world-class facilities, from the European Space Agency’s satellite centre to leaders in quantum technology, life sciences and energy. The Innovation Centre itself has supported more than 300 companies over its 25-year history.

Jonathan Beech, Managing Director of Migrate UK, explained:

“We knew this move was right for us after receiving a Harwell-based business enquiry even before we moved in! While we loved our previous time at East Hendred, we realised that we could provide face-to-face support to so many firms in minutes if we moved to the campus.”

He added:

“We also recognised that the Innovation Centre will not just provide us with office space, but wider business support and greater opportunities to develop with such a collaborative and inspirational range of businesses which are leading the world in science and technology. Thanks to our work with science and technology organisations nationwide, we’re already familiar with the talent shortages many face and the need for highly skilled employees.”

Reports suggest the UK life sciences sector alone could face a shortfall of 133,000 workers by 2030. Migrate UK supports organisations in recruiting overseas talent and navigating complex immigration rules. Its new start-up, Immpact, will also work alongside the firm to provide wider support to businesses seeking global expertise.

Michelle Webb, Centre Manager of Harwell Innovation Centre, welcomed the move:

“I’m pleased to welcome Migrate UK to the Harwell Innovation Centre bringing together specialist immigration consultancy with one of the UK’s most dynamic science and technology ecosystems. They will offer valuable support to the many international and high-growth companies based here.”

Founded in 2004, Migrate UK advises major corporations, SMEs, entrepreneurs and investors. The firm is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority and led by Jonathan Beech, who brings more than 30 years of experience, including time with Ernst & Young, KPMG and the UK government.
