
Stacey Solomon attended the launch of Lap of Lights at Silverstone Circuit on Wednesday evening (11 December), joining her family for the opening night of the festive experience as Silverstone officially began its biggest festive season to date.
Speaking after the visit, Stacey said: “We’ve had a really special evening! It’s such a cool experience being at Silverstone at Christmas time – the light trail on the circuit was magical and there’s loads for the kids to do.”

The event transforms the home of British motorsport into a glittering festive wonderland, combining immersive light displays with festive activities and experiences designed for visitors of all ages.
Lap of Lights runs from 12 December to 03 January 2026, with tickets selling fast and weekend slots already approaching sell-out. Prices start from £50 per car, offering families and groups the opportunity to enjoy one of the world’s largest Christmas light trails together from the comfort of their own vehicle.
Guests follow in the tyre tracks of Formula 1 legends as they drive around the famous circuit, guided by 10 immersive light attractions, 35 lasers and more than 7,000 LED panels.
Highlights along the route include a pre-lap Elf Pit Stop at Copse, the dazzling Glittering Gateway LED experience, the towering Sledspeed Straight, Northern Lights-inspired effects at Aurora Apex complete with smoke bubble machines, and the festive finale at Candy Cane Curve before finishing along the legendary Hamilton Straight in Fastest Lapland.
Alongside Lap of Lights, Silverstone is positioning itself as the ultimate winter destination, offering a full day of festive activities across the site. Visitors can skate on the Ice Trak rink, where the iconic Formula 1 garages have been transformed into a real ice rink, or explore the Silverstone Museum.
New for this year is Santa’s Garage in partnership with LEGO®, designed especially for younger visitors. The experience features an exclusive LEGO® Formula 1 car and trophy, real Formula 1 cars from teams including Haas and Red Bull, and the chance to meet Santa and his team of elf technicians as they prepare his sleigh in their high-octane workshop.
Festive food and drink is available throughout the day, including German sausages, mince pies, hot chocolate and mulled wine, alongside a wide range of official Silverstone merchandise ideal for Christmas gifts.
Visitors booking Lap of Lights tickets can also enjoy 10 per cent off stays at Escapade Silverstone Hotel & Restaurant, located moments from the circuit. Guests can choose from contemporary residences with trackside or countryside views and relax in the pool, gym or at The Gallery Restaurant & Bar.
Prices start from £262 per night, including breakfast and dinner, with additional savings available between 26 and 30 December.
