The 2024 Condé Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Choice Awards has been published, and the Old Parsonage and Old Bank (both part of The Oxford Collection) are the only hotels in Oxford to win accolades in the awards.

This year, Condé Nast Traveller readers across the nations voted in their thousands to name and praise the number one places they’re drawn to for exploring, relaxing, or simply escaping.

The Old Parsonage appears 15th in the league table, and the Old Bank ranks 28th among the roll call of the great and good of the hospitality world. Both hotels are commended for their exceptional city centre locations, world-class service, and quality bedding to ensure a restful stay.

Reviewers called the Old Parsonage “a real gem of a hotel” and praised the cosy library and beautiful aesthetic. In the opinion of one guest, “All of the important things here are done wonderfully and a lot of the ‘next level down’ things (that many hotels aren’t great with) are covered with a sense of attention to detail and thoroughness, too.”

Guests at the Old Bank loved the central High Street setting with outstanding views of the Radcliffe Camera and St Mary’s Church directly opposite. They are also impressed by the complimentary car parking, amazing showers, and eclectic art on the walls.

The Condé Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry, with the favourite UK hotels of 2024 based on levels of satisfaction according to the publication’s audiences.

Jeremy Mogford, Founder of The Oxford Collection, said: “It’s a privilege to see both our properties among the UK’s best-loved. This award acknowledges our commitment to excellence, and I’m incredibly proud of all our team. Their passion for hospitality and the desire to create memorable experiences for every guest is what sets us apart in Oxford.”

The only other hotel in Oxfordshire to make it on the list is Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton.
